A Quick Announcement

First, I want to apologize for the really long drought without posts. I was on a vacation with my dad and could not view the latest episodes of the shows I wanted to review. I have now seen them both and I can say that I was so indifferent about “Gotcha” and “Trucker Hall of Fame” from Adventure Time and Regular Show, respectively, that I have decided to not review either of them. I feel they would have essentially been repeats of the previous week’s posts. I will get to this week’s newest episodes soon, and may even throw in the week’s newest episode of Victorious. 

So again, I apologize for the delay. Have a great and safe Fourth of July!

Adventure Time: Goliad Review

For the very first post of my blog, I will review this week’s new episode of Adventure Time, whose new episode was titled “Goliad”.

Quite an interesting episode. Certainly not the best of the season, but still very interesting. From watching the promos, I was curious to see the heir to Princess Bubblegum’s throne. I certainly did not picture a giant, pink, dog-like creature with three eyes and an Australian accent. The first half of the episode kind of dragged, with Finn and Jake teaching the creature how to rule the candy people.

The second half was much more entertaining. It was cool that F&J and PB ended up having to stop Goliad from taking over the Candy Kingdom. The ending scene with Stormo was creative and one that was unexpected and original. It was quite interesting that Finn technically has a son now. My favorite moment of the episode, however, was when Finn was trying to take his mind off the plan to stop Goliad and the return of the “Baby Finn” song. Overall, decent episode, but was nowhere near as good as last week’s “Princess Monster Wife”.
